  8. DP I just re read my post... it sounds a bit harsh. I didn't mean it in that way I was meaning that it is something I've thought about too. Personally I don't like the noise of vibrating things, it annoys me [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. I'm pretty sure my Ranchu Tom floats after eating too much and that includes all food I've given except for greens. Tom basically is a gutsy little guy/gal and very smart when it comes to finding food. IDK, but if he does eat too much this is when he likes to go to the surface and gulps more than if he hasn't eaten too much. Less bubbles definitely helps too buffering the bubbles with plants that float on the surface helped too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks Helen and Fishy! I Think I've been overthinking things
  16. I dont know why I get so paranoid about it...I guess its just another thing I want to rule out for causing constipation or something . My Moore is getting worse at getting the food so tom gusts it all and this is not good for him/her
  17. I think on one of the other videos linked to that one, he explains. Starting with small holes in the filter baskets (so the flow is slow) and then adjusting the size of the holes until you are happy with the flow rate for your pump. With the over flow you can just drill a hole in the side of the plastic tub/tank you are using and attach a type of plumbing piece (I cant for the life of me remember what its called) to secure a tube that then runs into the top of the filter baskets. IDK if this has been any help... I wish I could help more, love a good project!
  18. So I was just wondering, as it has been bugging me for ages... Is it bad to feed goldfish, food that is not room temperature or is it ok to throw in a frozen portion of food in to the tank? I have been defrosting gel food until it is room temp and even if its from the fridge i wait till it is not cold before feeding. Am I being too OC with this?
  19. I love your fish! I wish my fishes were big and buffed but they are still babies Definitely getting them some yummy blood worms though
  20. It seems as though it is, it can have up to 40% protein and is quite nutrition in other ways too. I guess it depends on the quality of the duckweed they are getting. the higher the total nitrogen the higher the protein content . In saying that I'm not a fish dietitian though, lol...
