  4. They can be so beautiful. I think that will the right precautions you can keep them like another ones. I would hate to see how they do when it is spawning season. I know how the purple did, she is still in rehab from it and it has been 2 weeks. She was beat up pretty good.

  10. That does making a lot of sense why one may not buy it. so which one would you suggest then?
  11. Hello there, Tried using this, and its great.. I bought the CF80 which is $82 on sale. outflow was nice. I like the aesthetics too.. clear canister body..(you can see the water flowing inside ) It's really a nice CF because of the thin intake tube and outflow tube which really disguises it.. and reduces clutter inside your tank. Also the hoses are thin.. which I find really easy to install.. It really is quiet too... and just consumes 13W.. Performance wise, like I've said it was excellent... keeps a tank clean.. good outflow, powerful pump, low noise emission, and good quality materials.. Only negative thing I can say is that the canister body itself is quite thin..and feels that it'll break when servicing it.. But this is workable, if you won't force the CF maybe it wouldn't break.. PS: an advice is to be careful not to carry the CF on the top handle when full of water. Might cause micro damage on the gasket between the pump head and the canister body. BTW, this is an Eheim product, which is well known for aquatic products (they just rebranded it for Petsmart, I guess?) HTH If you have questions just do pose em.. will be glad to answer questions Is there a warranty on it if something happen? and how long did you have it?
  12. I've looked through Petsmart while on my own canister filter search. The MARINELAND brand items are on sale. The API canister filter is on sale as well. If you're only looking at items at Petsmart, I would look into those brands over National Geographic. I have a 75 gallon with an aqua clear 110 on it and a couple of sponge and I would like to add another filter on it. I was thinking about the the marineland but I was curious about the other ones
  13. I am looking for a canister filter and would like to know anyone option on this one. I have been seeing the National Geographic has a canister filter and it is on sale at Petsmart. I would like to know if any one had and is using what they think of it.
  14. Yes. I been watching him and the spot is shrinking

  16. I did my water change and on one of my matte goldfish. I found a red spot that look like he is bleeding. There is no bleeding but it look like it is under the scales i am not sure what to do. would i been worried? He is happy and eat and not bottom sitting i am not sure what can cause it?
  17. I have tested the water and it is the same to the amount in the tank.
  18. I will try that. I think a bit of my problem is that I got family that dont understand i need to maintain the water changes. they complain about the water looking like that and too many water changes. well she did keep 2 4-5 in koi and 7 3-4 in fantail in a 55 gallon for years so yea
  19. It is set-up like what the box say to so the ceramic on top and then the carbon then the sponge. I am considering to have anohter ceramic or carbon in there
  20. yeah i know I am trying to them. My sis dont want them at home and I am trying to find another alternative. I been doing more water changes. I am doing 30- 40% every other day . I feel for the fish but I can't do anything right now.
