  1. Ok should I water change between each dose? I'm thinking 25%. Thank you for your help Jared????
  2. Yes, it says to redose after 3-5 days and up to 3 doses in one month is the max. Do you think two doses will be enough?
  3. Yes, dead and floating in the current. They were too small to photograph and my camera/phone couldn't focus.
  4. Hello, Here's an update on my fish: My black moor wounds have headed up nicely, I haven't seen any flashing or signs of anchor worm. Today I added a dose of Dimilin to the tank and noticed something floating, like little worm bodies in the tank. They appear segmented with brownish heads and thread like tails. Are these anchor worm larvae I'm looking at? I "fished" about eight of them out and the thought of them grosses me out. I am on round three of prazi pro and not planning to add more.
  5. Thank you for your help Jared, I really appreciate it????. I was Looking at the Dimilin X dosage online and it calls for 1tsp for 500 gallons, so if my math is correct I should add 1/8 tsp for 40 gallons? Maybe between 1/16 and 1/8?
  6. I also ordered the Dimilin off eBay, it should be here tomorrow. I am wondering if I should just finish up the prazi first then worry about the anchor worms? I am on day 3 of round 2 and want to do 3 rounds. Thank you Arctic Mama, so far the fish are responding well to the Prazi.
  7. Ok thanks Jared. Can I use Dimilin and Prazipro pro together? I went to petsmart and could not find anything for anchor worm. I might go to my LFS on Monday and see what they have.
  8. Ok, I was examining the fish today and found another worm on a different fish. I managed to pull it out entirely and snapped a photo. The tail is forked. I tried to move it for a better photo, but it just stretched out.. http://s1065.photobucket.com/user/zpaulaanne/media/image.jpg1_zpspav46irp.jpg.html
  9. Hi Chelsea, I hope you can make this out. The wound is at the base of the dorsal fin near the tail. http://s1065.photobucket.com/user/zpaulaanne/media/image.jpg2_zpspfzqukvu.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0
  10. How do I post a picture? There is no add images button
  11. I could not get a good picture of the fish. The areas where I removed the "worm" are still white but look ok and I don't see any new problems. All the fish look good and ate well as usual. I plan to add more aquarium salt up to 1/2 teaspoon per gallon as my anacharis does not tolerate salt at all. I removed the nerite snails to a five gallon bucket because of the salt and prazi. They didn't touch the algae pellets I put in for them. Thanks for you help.

  13. Hello all, A few days ago I noticed a white sore/wound area on my black moor, it was located low near the anal fins and I thought it might be a possible injury. Around this same time frame I noticed some occasional flashing and immediately thought it could be flukes so I ordered some Prazipro and started treatment as soon as it got here today. I did a 50% w/c added the med and 10 tsp of salt to my 40 gallon, I plan to add more salt tomorrow. Tonight I noticed 2 more wound areas, took a closer look and saw thread like material coming out of the wound. I was able to pull it out whole and I think it's an anchor worm. I don't know if I should abandon the Prazipro and treat for anchor worm or do both at the same time. Test results with API liquid drops: Ammonia-0 Nitrite-0 Nitrate-10 This tank has been set up since January and the only recent changes are that I lowered the temp from 73 to 70 degrees. Let me know if you need any other info.
  14. It was able to swallow it after about 1-2 hrs. In the future I will chop them up a lot smaller
  15. Ok, thanks. I'm a bit of a worry wort, lol. The fish seems to be looking for food and swimming fine with occasional stops as if to spit it out.
