  1. A little update...the ''bubbles'' that remain are now mostly on the tip of her tail, no more in-between the ray bones
  2. This is something I will always know and remember from now on! I will watch out carefully for temperature, use buckets and change her air stone to a wand. According to you, is she going to be fine and how long can it take for her to go back to "normal"? Thanks again Helen! this is something i am not sure about, hun. GBD does not present frequently and in most cases, it goes undetected. so really, i only recall the symptoms and not much more. lets aim for a few weeks in QT using the boring old bucket method for her and see how she does. keep us updated with any news on her, good or bad.. especially keep an eye on any symptoms flukes related since you have just finished treating her for that Perfect! She is under close observation hihi! I'll keep you updated Fiona is doing great! I think time will heal her well.
  3. I left my almost-full pack of bloodworms and brine shrimps out of the freezer for a full day .... I guess I got to throw it all out?! This was my FAIL of the day
  4. Oh great!! I guess it would be the best combo!
  5. It might just be me but I'm confused. The jar says that the instructions for mixing are in the jar? I don't see any instructions as for how to make the food and it's my first try with a commercial gel food powder. There is a little paper in there. Ohh really? What kind of idea is this?

  8. I will watch out for this, too. Thank you

  10. I agree as it's not something I did not imagine could be harmful to my fish
  11. I feel so bad that this was my fault ...but happy that it was catched on time. I will go back to buckets. Is this because the hose is underwater while the tank is filling, I mean I'm curious. Would it be better if I sprayed the water on top of the tank?
  12. The temperature is usually pretty matched. Maybe 1 or 2 degrees difference if any
  13. Using Mikey's method of a pond pump that is attached to a garden hose
  14. Could the issue be associated with the fact that I started using a hose to fill her tank instead of buckets?
  15. You are so helpful. I have a tank that is cycling and my ''old one'' but I am having trouble with the fish in it, that's why I prefered the daily WC, as I don't want to contaminate Fiona. I am going to stop the Prazi and observe. I planned to leave her in Qt anyways since the tank she's going in is cycling.
  16. I did a 75% WC this morning, and didn't add any salt. I will check tonight when I get home if I can find an air wand. Thanks Helen!!
  17. Or, do you think I should stop the salt now since she's been in Qt for almost 6 weeks?
  18. Perfect Helen I will follow what you recommended. In the meantime, should I bring the salt concentration down (it is now at 0.3%)? Thank you so much for the help!

  20. Correction : I listed the meds I have on hand in my first post, but the metronidazole and furan 2 are on their way (planned to arrive tomorrow or Thursday)
  21. Definitely, they don't look like air bubbles trapped in the fins. They are more like blurry patches of lighter color that can be seen through the fins (if it makes any sense). Her tank is a Qt without a light and I can see the spots only if I put some lighting above her, and she goes underneath. I'm sorry this sounds so weird but it's the best I can describe. This is greatly appreciated! Thank you
  22. Yes, oups 114 salt per 1 gallon water, sorry. Her water is at 0.3% (increased since I noticed these spots) and double dose of Prazi. Thank you I appreciate!
  23. Yes she has been on prazi for 5 weeks now. My concern is mostly the white spots, not the veins. And thank you for your feedback on my "art" Do you see any change with the white spots since the salt dip? What concentration of salt did you dip your cutie? I don't see change. I followed Solid Gold's video on salt dip (14 grams salt for 1 gallon) I'll check again tonight.
