  1. I use plastic netting with large holes to get any debris out while still keeping my babies safe from getting sucked into the python
  2. I need my 125 up and running STAT Thanks for sharing this great info Sharon
  3. Article on baking soda http://www.kokosgoldfish.invisionzone.com/forum/index.php?/topic/110296-stabilizing-your-tank-ph-with-sodium-bicarbonate-baking-soda/
  4. Baking soda won't harm goldfish, FYI I forgot to add I have a 60 Gallon It won't harm them. I have been using Baking soda for over a year now with excellent results. There is an article here on BS with very useful info and guides you how to measure it. Do you have a scale? Also a KH tester from API helps as well
  5. Awe so cute. He looks exactly like my calico butterfly tele Kramer! Congrats on the new fishy
  6. I'm so sorry to hear about Whale Lisa RIP beautiful baby
  7. $200 is a bargain for a 75 and real wood stand. I paid $300 for mine second hand. Some people just want something for nothing, it irritates me. Anyway your tank looks awesome!!
  8. I did some impulse shopping too. I told my husband I had to run in a get one little thing. Came out with a 125g..... Oops and I forgot to purchase the one little thing ( my bottle of prime lol) Have no where to put it, might have to take a chair or two out lol or just sadly wait for my basement to be completed
  9. Lisa, you got a fish with a wen?!! I'm so proud of you LOL .... He's cute as a button....I'm jelly congrats!!!
  10. My blue oranda had a great first color change. He looked almost like a panda.....then...... It changed, he's got some weird funky orange white and black spots going on. He's still a cutie but I miss the panda look lol so I know how you feel your is soooo cute!!
  11. I am sorry I thought you had another fish that also had ich. I had to go back and read your post again ..The one you said that shows no signs of ich, is he a new fish? I would be weary about dropping the salt anyway if it's a brand new fish.
  12. I also kept heat and salt up even after the ich was gone, I believe for a week after, just to be safe it was completely gone. I'm pretty sure it was a week after, I don't have my log book on me.
  13. I recently had a ich problem. I had my tank at .03% salt and 79 heat for several weeks until it went away. Salt and heat did the trick. Some of my fish reactions differed from others. I would definitely keep up with WC's and adding the proper salt % back into the tank. What watt is the UV? A 9 watt won't cut it. Also I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your fish
  14. Oh my... I have used salt with the liquid prazi. I thought that was the norm. I actually have a fish in QT now with both...dang it!!!!
  15. Her butterflies are always gorgeous. Can't wait to see pics when you get one
  16. Thank you Amy. Im still pretty upset about Citrus and Skipper, they were awesome and I'll miss them . This new little one is cute. So small so he will have to stay in the 20gal for a while. Eats one pellet for a meal lol and it takes him a while to find it so when he's big enough he'll go in the main tank. Im just worried about him getting enough food, the big guys are quick
  17. Thanks for the info Lisa. I always prazi'd my BN but never did salt. Good to know you can
  18. yup! You can . I forget how high of a level they can tolerate, but I don't want to be the one to find out You are quick I just asked for pics LOL
