  1. Also I have a eheim UV sterilezer so I have never turned it on since I setled up my tank for more than 5 months. It is mounted exhaust of my canister allready. Thanks.
  2. Hi thank you for your liking my fishes. Actually the tank's volume is 284 Lt. I agree that reducing my stocks is the only way to get rid of this situation. Now I have a QT so I will seperate the sick fishes rightaway. There is an other orange oranda floats I beleive it did not take your attention. I fast them one day in a week and right after the fasting I feed them with boiled spinach or peas. Also I have couple of questions about how often should I clean the canister and how much and how often should I do the water change. Also what do you think about my water test results. Thank you for you kind replies. Sincerely.

  9. Hi guys unfortunately I do not have a water test kit yet. If anyone recommend me a brand of that kit I would buy as soon as possible. Also one of my red cap just sits in the deep when I feed them he starts to swim to the surface. I think I am in big trouble. Last weekend I have lost one of my black tiger-head oranda he was behaving exactly the same with the red cap does. I read somewhere and I applied right away and it worked temporally I did not feed them just a night and I gently rubed his tummy 2 times for 10 seconds. He started to swim nicely again but today she is not moving. Before I get the water test kit there is something have to do urgently? Just need your help.
  10. Hi there. I read a lot about swim bladder to cure my 2 orandas. But I want to need someone has experience to show me how to fix this issue. I have a 60 gal. tank and have 12 orandas in the tank. I do 50% water change every week regularly and I use Prime water conditioner. The other orandas are normally swim but 2 of them. I have 2 orandas they normally swim in good condition but especially in the evenings after 2 hours I feed them they go to the surface and one of it hunch sticks on the surface the other one leans on his left or right but when you get closer to the aquarium they swim normally and very active. I use Hikari Oranda Gold, Hikari Lionhead, Saki - Hikari Fancy Gold Fish, boiled spinach and peas, I soak the pelets in a bowl for 10 mins. before I feed them and I feed them 2 times a day day and night and never give them much more food they can not consume in 10 mins. I give veggies 2 or 3 times a week. Can anyone please let me know how can get over from this. Waiting your kind helps. Thank you so much
  11. Hi dear Thank you for sharing your recipe. I have some questions; 1- How do you keep the gel food in the fridge? in the deep freeze side of the fridge or just in the fridge? 2 -How long should I store the food in the fridge without spoiling? 3- How often should I feed the fishes with the gel food? Regards.
  12. Hi dear I am about to setting up a new aquarium for my goldies. I have a problem with green water with my old aquarium. So the new one will be at the same place where the old one is. My set up is Boyu EA 120 80 gal aquarium with a built in internal filter Eheim professional 3 - 350 canister filter. I am planning to get a pump free UV filter is just atached on water out hose and works with the canister filter. I read a lot of stuffs about uv filter usages in aquarium. Working of the UV filter 24 hours a day casuses destroy the any kind of microorganism lives in the water even the good ones. I am bit confused . First how long and how many periods do I need to turn on the UV filter during a day. Second how strong must be the filter watt? If you help me to find me a way to out I would be really appriciate. Thanks and Regards Burcin Kokalan
