  1. Love your setup! What kind of plants are those? I am planning on starting up my 75 gallon tank once again, in the summer, after 3 years living overseas. For now, I'm slowly brushing up again on goldfish care, tank set up, etc. Can't wait to see your 100 gallon tank all set in place
  2. Ohhh that is just so adorable!!!!! Now I want one! lol Though the smaller the cuter they seem haha I'm going to let my sister know that bit of info Gosh that bundle just looks so comfy!
  3. Well judging by the video, Jett doesn't seem too sure he wants to take his chances either but only you would know if he ever dared. My sister and her husband want to get a corgi too some time in the future. She said they are known to be very active dogs. Jett definitely seems to be very curious haha
  4. Bettas are so much fun to watch! He is quite the character flaring and all congrats!
  5. Ooo I like that song! Your babies are so cute nice gravel choice too!
  6. Congratulations!!! he is really cute! I've always heard of dark colored gf turn to lighter colors but not the opposite. I could be wrong though lol My orange fantail has never changed color.
  7. Jett is such a cutie pie!! Your chus are really on it!
  8. Love this song so graceful! Very nice tank and your snail is awesome!
  9. Thank you! I like his patterns too! Thank you! Thanks! Ha ha they sure rock!
  10. Yup! I believe he is a tiger stripe or red dot nerite snail? I think they may have different names for this particular one LOL I was glued to the tank for the first 30 minutes just watching him move! Does your betta bother your snail?
  11. Me too! he is so cute Thank you! Yes, he definitely adds some color to the tank
  12. They really are! I debated for a while if I should get one but I'm glad I did
  13. Thank you Dawn!! He is tiny but I was surprised how much he's been moving around in the tank! lol
  14. Hi everyone, just wanted to share with you the new member in my tank- Hannibal! He had been in quarantine for a week and I just added him to the tank. Everything went well. He is definitely more active in the tank than he was in his QT container. Already eating away! lol Thanks for looking *He is in his QT container in this pic. I'll take more pics in the future with him in the tank. Wiggles and Ghosuto haven't been bothering him too much lol
  15. Very cool looking tank! I like the bubble wall! Love how they all gathered up for you in pic #3!
  16. Cool tank Your goldies are really cute. Thanks for sharing.
  17. You have a very nice looking tank they all look so cute waddling and munching away! At 1:42... what was that creeping out from the right side of the tank? lol it looks pretty cool!
  18. Hello having an oranda myself, I like to feed my goldies frozen blood worms (thawed in tank water first before feeding), baby spinach (boiled first to make it softer for them to eat), boiled peas. I know some members feed gel foods such as Repashy Soilent Green. Something I'm thinking of getting. Definitely, providing variety to their diet would make for a happier goldie in my opinion. With bloodworms, baby spinach, and peas I feed as a treat only. Anyway, this is how I do it and my fish are very happy. Also, I know other members offer more than one kind of pellet food to their goldies. Question: what kind of pellets/foods are you feeding them now? (what brand, are they floating/sinking pellets, what kind of veggies, etc.) You mentioned they have had dropsy in the past. Personally, I avoid floaty foods and feed Hikari Lionhead sinking pellets. The sinking pellets get my goldies to go to the bottom of the tank to get their food as opposed to having them hanging out on the top and them gulping extra air as they eat. Thus minimizing the chance of my goldies getting floaty (my fantail used to be prone to this). As for ditching the pellets 100% I cannot say if that would be a great idea? but I'm sure someone else with more experience will chime in and let you know what they think of this. I know that goldfish need some kind of staple food in their diet. But it would be great to know if anyone has been successful in keeping their goldies off of pellets 100% and offering them another kind of staple food.
  19. UPDATE: He is looking much better. I decided to not QT him and just keep an eye on him. The cyst seems to be much smaller and it's not as red. His appetite is normal and he is swimming around. The only thing I did notice that was odd was when he wasn't swimming around and staying still at the bottom of the tank his bottom would go up. So, his head would be pointing directly down. I only caught him doing this a couple of times. Should I be worried??
