  1. Thank you, but actually it's a medicine box I tested the tap water: Ammonia: 0 ppm Nitrite: 0ppm
  2. I tested this morning and got this Ammonia: 0ppm Nitrite: 0.15 ppm I did a 30% water change yesterday morning and fed a lot, 3 times yesterday with Sera Goldy Color and Ocean Free Natural Growth. So what is next ?
  3. Thank you, I'm getting it next week as soon as it becomes available
  4. I can get Seachem Prime here, so how much should I use ? Tank is 53 gallons
  5. The local fish shop advised me to use some bio product which is said to help fast cycling my tank with in 2 or 3 days. I did it a month ago, but now I 've found out that the product only helps producing bacteria which make the water clearer, not the ammonia bacteria . SO I think I have to start all over. By the way I tested my tank this morning: Ammonia: 0.25 ppm Nitrite: 0.10-0.15 ppm PH: 7.5 How much water is needed to be changed everyday ?
  6. OMG really. But you are in the State right ?
  7. The water is normally at 33 degree Celsius during this season at my place
  8. Ok thank you, I have ordered a bottle of seachem prime and it will be here next week. Any recommendation about the feeding ?
  9. I think I messed up everything, because last week I fed my goldfish cooked crushed peas and it was all over the place, it got in my canister filter and did a 100% filter cleaning, but I only cleaned the media. Was it cause the death of bacteria ? Also I am using a canister filter from Jebo 829 with 5 trays: 1st: sponge and bio-sponge 2nd: sponge and Gex Mega Bio 3rd: Bio Ceramic Rings 4th: Bio Ceramic Rings and Sponge 5th: Seachem Maxtric (1 litre) So I think that I have to cycle my tank again but this time with fish in it @@. Any recommendation ?
  10. So recently my tank water smells like pee but I can only know it if my face is about 5cm from the water. I did a test and got the result Ammonia: 0.5 ppm Nitrite: 0.15 ppm I did a 50% water change and tested again: Ammonia: 0.25ppm Nitrite: 0.10ppm What is happening ? please help Mine is a 53 gallon tank with: 4 medium goldfish (1 ryukin, 2 oranda, 1 comet) and 3 small lionhead goldfish. Mine is overstocked I know T_T.
  11. Did a 50% water change and my Ammonia drops to 0.25mg/l Nitrite: 0.10mg/l
  12. Tested my Ammonia : 0.5mg/l Nitrite: 0.15mg/l
  13. I was hesitated because the price of these product equal to one week food and groceries shopping for me lol
  14. Hey I'm getting these what do you think Alex ? 15. It slightly smells like pee, but I can only realize it if my face is about 5cm from the water. But it less than the before because when I first started a month ago I could smell the water from 2 feet away.
  16. If you can, get both ammonia and nitrite, please. One without the other isn't as helpful as it could be. BTW do you have activated carbon in your filter. Because my local fish shop recommend putting it in the canister filter to reduce the smell.
  17. thanks, because they are expensive here so I'm just thinking about getting one by one
  18. ah about 1 month, the water is clear and the fish is acting normally but sometimes they do gulp at the surface so I think it's must be because of the water is a little bit warm or the ammonia lvl .
  19. There are reasons to think that goldfish constantly being at higher temps will have consistently higher metabolism, and consequently have shortened lifespans. Having said that, how much of a shortened lifespan is not known. Other than that, goldfish should do just fine at 33C, as you have observed. You will of course want to make sure that plenty of oxygen is supplied, but I don't think there is much else to do, or worth trying. Alex, which should I get first ammonia , nitrate or nitrite testing kit ?
  20. I haven't bought an Ammonia test kit because my LFS is out of stock and they will be available next week. So I am going to buy Seachem Prime and ammonia test kit. Between the Sera NO3 Test Kit and Seachem Ammonia Alert which one is better guys, because those are the only things available at the affordable price here in Viet Nam. One more thing: My tank temperature is usually at 33 Degree Celsius because the weather is kind of hot here in Viet Nam, the goldfish is acting normally, swimming around, asking for food when they see me. Is it ok ?
  21. I did it yesterday, and I do WC and gravel cleaning once a week
  22. Yes my tank is a little bit overstocked atm with 7 goldfish (2 orandas, 1 ryukin, 1 comet and 3 baby lionheads) becuase I got them before I know anything about stocking and my tank is 53 gallons.
  23. It is a slightly ammonia smell, but it can only be realized if my face is very close to the water
