  1. Congratulations to Yoshi. I'm glad he's somewhere where you can visit him.
  2. A mod should be here pretty soon to help. Were the water parameters taken before or after your 100% water change?
  3. I think the warm room would be safer than the room with paint in it, though. Goldfish can handle warm water, but I don't know how they do with paint fumes.
  4. Your hands are safer for your fish than a net Just be sure not to put pressure on your fish's gills.
  5. I am so sorry. I know you did your best to make him happy.
  6. Aw, that video made me so happy! Thanks for posting!
  7. About the dyed goldfish... "Dyes A common method of creating "painted fish" is through injection via syringe. Generally, fish are injected multiple times.[1] Fish may also be dipped in a caustic solution to strip their outer slime coat, then dipped in dye. This method is reported to have a very high mortality rate.[2] Many varieties of "colour-enhancing" foods for aquarium fishes are available to the consumer. Generally, these foods contain natural dyes, such as beta carotene, and are not harmful to fish, although as with other dye methods, the effect is temporary. One source reports that harmful dyes are sometimes used by wholesalers, however." Not something I would support, unless I knew for sure it was via food containing dye.
  8. If I die and get reincarnated as a fish I want to live in one of your tanks!
  9. Over feeding maybe. They generally get fed three times a day (sometimes only twice now that school's started) Their meal sizes are NLS small pellets, 12 pellets between them Seaweed, a strip about 2inx1in Repashy, a piece about the size of a matchstick Peas, 1 split between the two of them Frozen bloodworms, 1/3 of a cube split between them. They're both about 3in long without their tails and around 4g according to my scale, which i suspect is off.
  10. Last nigh John and Paul got bloodworms for dinner, then I left for my overnight shift. I got back this morning to see John seems to be pooping undigested bloodworms. He doesn't seem to be in distress and ate fine this morning, but I'm not sure what to do. Does this warrant a fast?
  11. One of my friends took one home tonight and she'd barely sat her purse down on the counter and the cat grabbed the toy out of the bag...I guess he approves! ^.^ All of my orders have been sent out, I'd love to get some pictures and videos of the responses, if your cats like them.
  12. She has an 8 gallon tank with a 10 gallon filter I believe. From what she described they are more foam-like. I'm not sure what the tank parameters are because she hasn't gotten a water test kit yet.
  13. My friend who won the fish at the fair has noticed a lot of bubbles at the top of the tank. She has been doing 50% water changes on an right gallon tank (I know it's too small) every three days and the only chemical they've been adding is the prime. She says the fish both seem healthy. Any idea what could be causing the bubbles?
  14. My boyfriend saw the list of orders I have and went 'woah, THE koko? You made it big!' Lol
  15. I plan on stopping by the post office on Monday so if you wanted a toy or two please pm me your info by then!
