  1. Good looking out that was a big tid bit i left out
  2. You've already got some spot on good advice. Once the bad eggs start turning white I'd pull them out immediately. Also to stop the bad eggs from infecting the good eggs there's a product called methelyne blue. I use it and it works pretty well. If you've got any good eggs they should hatch with in a few days and like Scarlett said you should start feeding around day three when their egg sacs disappear
  3. A. FIVE DAY ROUNDS Day 1: Big WC (>50%), add Prazi. Make sure salt is at the appropriate concentration. This is the beginning of Round 1. Day 5: Big WC (>50%), replace salt, but do not add Prazi. This is the end of Round 1. Day 6: Big WC (>50%), replace salt, and add Prazi. This is the start of Round 2. Day 10: Big WC (>50%), replace salt, but do not add Prazi. This is the end of Round 2. Day 11: Big WC (>50%), replace salt, and add Prazi. This is the start of Round 3. Day 15: Big WC (>50%), replace salt, but do not add Prazi. This is the end of Round 3. Day 16: Big WC (>50%), replace salt, and add Prazi. This is the start of Round 4. Day 20: Big WC (>50%), replace salt, but do not add Prazi. This is the end of Round 4. Day 21: Big WC (>50%), replace salt, and add Prazi. This is the start of Round 5. Day 25: Big WC (>50%), replace salt, but do not add Prazi. This is the end of Round 5. Day 26: Big WC (>50%), replace salt, and add Prazi. This is the start of Round 6. Day 30: Big WC (>50%), replace salt, but do not add Prazi. This is the end of Round 6. This is enough for 6 rounds, should you need to go out that far. Some reminders: Prazipro should only have salt to 0.1% if you are using regular dose. If double dosing Prazipro, you can raise salt to 0.3%. If you are using Prazi powder or tablets, then salt is at 0.3%. I copied this from somewhere on the site lol or from another member. I don't remember which but I have it saved on my phone
  4. My fry have pink tummies from bbs they eat I don't think they'll stay that way though.
  5. I think she ment when they're old enough? ;o they're getting big and looking good!
  6. It kinda looks like melon sword but I'm no expert from looking at plant sites that's what it looks like to me
  7. A lot of people on the forum start prazi at the end of week two
  8. TThat's what I was thinking too about six or seven weeks but I'm not sure
  9. Aw they're cuties. I'm glad she's ok after her accident
  10. Im really excited about these guys this is the farthest ive gotten with them THank you!
  11. The bigger ones tail is especially fancy i cant wait either! thank you! They really are!
  12. I have six more that just hatched yesterday I'm hoping one of those ends up with a single tail. When I had a ton of fry before I lost them there were about a quarter of them that had single tails and I want to see what one of them would look like so badly lol fins crossed
  13. They actually showed up on here a lot better than how they looked when I was looking at them on photobucket. Their parents are fantails. The ones in my avatar photo. I think that both the ladies may be the moms and they have the same dad. He chases both girls and they both regularly lay eggs. Sometimes both in the same day. He's a busy boy. The lighter colored small one is buttons it has two button eyes and I think it may turn out to be a calico (:
  14. I'm not sure how old they are. I believe theyre from three different spawnings but they could be from two. The biggest one is the oldest and I've lost track of how old it is Once again photobucket kills photos. They looked good until I uploaded them. Oh and they're in a quarter cup measuring cup for reference!
  15. I've had great luck with frozen baby brine shrimp and hikari first bites. You can get the frozen bbs in the frozen cooler at your local pet store. That's a lot easier than trying to cultivate your own bbs
  16. They have a bright led light on the tank maybe when I do my water change tomorrow I'll try using a flashlight and see if they come out better
  17. I use the macro setting and they still don't come out too great and then once photobucket gets a hold of them they get worse
  18. They're looking so good! I wish I had good photos of my biggest fry. I've been calling it big bertha haha. There are only four but that ones the oldest and biggest. One of the others has button eyes and its so cute
  19. I use meth blue and it's helped the hatch rate considerably! I can't wait to see what these babies will look like. Their parents are beautiful so I have no doubt the babies will be too
  20. Oh my, you're going to have your hands full!
  21. To be honest I haven't done prazi yet they're in a breeder box in the big fish tank and I can't prazi them without giving it to the big fish too. I'm just playing it by ear. They're getting big and are healthy. They don't show any signsof flukes or abnormalities so I'm going to wait until they're big enough for their own tank and filter
  22. Thank you! The frozen ones are such a time/energy saver but I already bought the eggs months ago so I thought I may as well use them. I'm going to be trying microworms later on today too! Great to hear your little ones are growing well~ I read through all your threads in the breeding section while I was doing research haha They're very helpful. For a while i wasnt having much luck and after a couple weeks id lose them but ive had these for about a month one a little more im glad they were helpful
