  1. They are! The BN live in with my goldies but I moved the babies to the tropical tank because the fish in there are smaller and hopefully wont eat them. Though there was a few I couldn't catch so they will either have to hide well or become goldie snacks! They are so cute though so I hope I can raise a few of them up. I don't have a free tank I can designate to them at the moment unfortunately but this is the second batch of eggs he has been fanning in a short amount of time so I'm sure there willbe more. Though he is upset I took his driftwood cave out. Going to buy them an actual pleco cave though and see if I can convince him to move to there
  2. That looks great! I do quite like guppies don't have any at the moment though!
  3. My plecos have been busy
  4. Can you wait until a while after someone has showered to do your waterchange? (If thats what you mean)
  5. Oh no! I've done this before but in the opposite direction, I made the water way too warm. I thought I had killed all my fish. Like Taryl said the best thing you can do is slowly bring the temperature to where it should be. I hope they recover for you!
  6. I found my butterfly teles and oranda struggled. The longer bodied teles were ok
  7. My longer bodied fantails and single tail fish do well in it. Ryukins and pearlies ended up struggling. Basically the fancier/rounder they are the more they struggled with the depth.
  8. My tank is 24 inches tall, (by 24 inches wide) MOST of my fish do ok in it but I have had some that I have had to move outside into the 12 inch tall pond because they just don't handle the deep water. When I get a new tank it's only going to be 18 inches tall, I find that even the ones who seem to do ok in the 24 inches seem to do best with that kind of depth. I do find my goldies do a lot better having a tank that is wider/longer rather than taller.
  9. I've had a few fish that white and orange change colour lol. Some turned all or mostly orange, one ended up turning all white
  10. I seen a video of them once I believe, they are really awesome looking but i wonder how long the pattern would last
  11. Don't use regular salt, use just the Epsom at 1/2 teaspoon per 10 gallons. Regular salt can add to the fluid retention xx
  12. Koko I'm so sorry Taryl oh no my heart breaks for you. I am so sorry
  13. Hi, first of all, dont feel bad, a lot of us started in the same situation! Second, for cycling a tank, I recommend using Seachem Prime for your water conditioner, as this will detoxify the ammonia up to 1ppm. Third, I highly recommend getting a liquid test kit, the API freshwater master test kit is a great one, it will last a long time and is a lot more accurate than the strips It has been a long time since I did a fish in cycle, or any cycle for that matter, so Im not entirely confident on giving out instructions for it as I dont want to lead you down the wrong path, but I believe @shakaho is really knowledgeable in these matters

  15. I love yellow fish. I only ever seen the yellow commons here, and mine has lost most of his yellow as he has grown.
  16. So sorry for your loss. I've made mistakes that have lead to m fish passing and it's not fun but like Koko says you just have to take it as a learning experience.
  17. Aw no Taryl! Hope things get better soon. How much longer til he comes?
  18. @koko has a fish who grew a tumor that disappeared so I guess its possible but not likely. But as long as it's not affecting his quality of life you are fine to just leave it alone If you do decide you want to remove it there will be people who can support you through the process here!
  19. Oh no I'm very sorry Emilee Heres a video of my pondies playing while I was refilling their pond
