  1. I find with multiple fish in a 10g qt, large, daily Water changes are needed, unless they are small and I have a cycled filter in there
  2. So many babies. One lone Goldie fry
  3. It is It breaks my heart to think about. I love him so much. He spends a lot of tiny resting under the filter spray bar these days. I wish I knew more about his history/how old he was when I got him.
  4. It definitely is a tumor, I had a fish vet on FB look at photos of it. Unfortunately he doesnt have any contacts in Adelaide to get advice from. But the area its in makes it very hard to surgically remove. Right now I think my plan of action is to just keep him comfortable as long as possible and once he can either no longer right himself or cant/wont eat I'll have to euth him I think there is much more of the tumor internally than we can see externally.
  5. Its crazy here too, lots of events getting cancelled
  6. The last one looks good to me, the second I'd keep an eye on and the first is definitely a problem. Here are some photos of my last little guy I raised up, she is a ryukin. Congrats on the babies!

  8. So when I moved my pleco babies over to their own tank I moved a couple of pieces of driftwood from the main tank over for them. The night previously the goldies had spawned in the main tank, but I wasn't planning on rescuing the eggs. I saw a couple on the wood that I moved over but they didn't look like 'good' eggs. A few days after the wood was in the pleco tank I couldn't see the eggs, though I did see a bad one, I just assumed the had gone bad or the plecos had eaten them. Today I found three little freeswimming goldie fry I wasn't planning on raising any but now that I've seen them I can't just let them be. So raising them up it is. I know my butterfly tele Papi is the mum but there were three boys chasing her that day so I don't know who ended up fathering them
  9. Ah the are beautiful Anubias! If I wasn't in Aus I'd totally do a trade
  10. Another thing I've noticed, is when I see him poop (which isn't often but oftne enough I guess) it isn't a solid 'string' like you usually see. But is more like a cloud of mush that disperses as soon as it huts the water. Sometimes it will have more solid pieces in it but it seems to be mostly a cloud of 'bits' (Sorry for the gross description)
  11. Hi everyone, I've had trouble finding the acriflavine, but does this one look ok? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/KIYOSAKI-ACRIFLAVINE-100ml-solution-AQUARIUM-FISH-TANK-POND-TREATMENT-MEDICINE-/202250051751 He is getting worse, and I'm a bittorn as to what to do at the moment. He is having issues balancing and often floats, today he keeps flipping upside down. When he swims he seems to be struggling and the other fish seem to be starting to pick on him when he is having trouble, I've seen them bite his fins. Here are some photos from today, sorry they aren't very clear, my camera is flat so I'm using my phone. In this one you can see the area around the growth swelling, though it does look worse from certain angles Another one from above Side View A close up from about a week ago I'll upload some videos of him swimming soon
  12. Oh that looks great! I love them
  13. They are pretty!! My plecos have been at it again. None of the previous lot survived, these are in a tank with just their dad because he refuses to separate from them but here they are. Will see how these ones go
  14. I used acrylic too I believe, its been a while lol
  15. Would love to see the fish you bought
  16. Oh he is gorgeous! My girl was a lot lighter when I got her and she was in QT, she darkened up very quickly once i put her in the pond You can see the barbels here if you look very closely This is when I first got her
  17. I haven't used Crushed Coral before so I have no idea :(
  18. My Raven has very tiny barbels. I think I have a photo that shows them on my computer, I will have a look in the mornings! They are gorgeous fish. Raven is right there at the top of my favourites. Would love to see yours!
  19. I'm 99% sure they are sterile
  20. They are a hybrid of goldfish and koi. They do stay black. I have one, she was about 3 inches when I got her and is now about 12 inches She is very hard to photograph, but here are some I had on my phone where you can see her
  21. I can't find other photos now either x.x I'm sure I have seen them though! I really do think its real
  22. Sometimes it seems to be genetics related. I have a couple of fish that just haven't grown despite getting the exact same treatment as my other fish which have grown wonderfully. What do you feed them and how much?
