  1. Sean is one of the best sellers I have ever dealt with! He is wonderful with customer service: He replies with extensive knowledge on the things that he sells and he updates with every move that he makes! I bought a bristle baby and a mangrove from him, and he was nice enough to add in another mangrove! The bristle baby arrived safely and is now happily munching on some algae. The mangroves are just about to move into the big tank. I would urge everyone here to go through him before considering ebay or any other place!
  2. I've found that the more you're in there cleaning the tank, arranging the decorations and plants, or just stick your hands in the tank (like Helen does!) the more the become accustomed to you. Especially if you come with the gifts of food lol. Although after doing that, my LT thinks that my hand is food lol!
  3. My sister and niece suggested Shifu from kung fu panda:
  4. I know that I get Algae growth inside my canister filter tubing (its in direct light). I just wrapped mine with a black trash bag and starved the algae
  5. Oh wow, that's really good to know! I wonder if I'll get a male or female.? Only time will tell
  6. How long did you have the hornwort? The first ones I got would initially turn partly brown and shed a bit, but as soon as they adjusted to the specific tank there was no more shedding at all and it grows decently green. Hornwort still needs some light. The more light, the less shedding there is, I noticed. Good to know! I had them for about 6 months before I completely gave up on them lol. When I think back on it, it was probably my lighting that did it. I had the terrible stock lighting that came with the tank, and no natural light. Mine would shed so bad the filter would clog lol
  7. like Jacque , Astor , Winston , Stanley , fletcher, fits , pippin ,Dax, John Paul and Geronimo I got it pascal like the french artist Francious pascal I like pascal too! Congrats on such a stunning fish!
  8. Yowch! I didn't hear about that I hope that they do better together... Or have lots of eggs lol! Good luck either way friend!
  9. Blech... Hornwort . I never had much luck with it personally... I mean, it grew but I hated how they would start to turn brown and shed up the tank. Is there something specific that you can do to make them stay green longer? I love your ramshorns! I've discovered quite a soft spot for the one I found Good luck with your mangroves Fang! I'm sure a couple will make it
  10. I love your fishie! He has such a defined derp face lol The mistiness is a very nice touch .
  11. Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about your and the fishies health ! I hope things work out for you. I'm sure a fellow Kokonut will be along to help you out!
  12. I'm not sure about your snail, but I read that my little ramshorn snail actually is an oxygen breather . They pop up above the surface, store an air bubble under their shell, and go back under . Perhaps yours are the same way? EDIT: I totally forgot that Fang said the same thing! My bad! I recently found a ramshorn snail in my plant tank. He's a really cute blue spotted fella . Well, today when I went to drop a piece of food in the tank for him, I found him hanging off of a piece of duckweed!! He was totally upside down using the duckweed as a walkway . I wish I had a video... Smaller aquatic snails can actually use the surface tension of water to "walk" upside down on the bottom side of the water surface. It is really neat to watch! Even mystery snails are able to do this when they are still babies and light enough. Just yesterday I was playing around with one of my pond snails that went for a walk on the underside of the water surface. Aquatic snails are much more entertaining and beneficial than most people think Man, they are tooooo cool! I'm happy to have them... As long as they don't have babies. And more babies... and- well you get the point lol

  15. Awww I love fishy!! I bet your son will be just as loving to little fishy
  16. Darn thermometers! I hope everything works out for the best hun I know that most goldies will try and eat everything, but once they figure out that they can't grind down whatever it is with their teeth, they usually spit it back out. If something gets stuck in their mouths, you can usually see it. That does also depend on the size of the beads. Before I took the gravel out of my tank, I used to worry every time my fish would pick up a swallow-able size gravel piece. They'd chew it for a sec then spit it back out once they figured out that it didn't taste good lol.
  17. I'm in love! I'd steal him if you lived closer! Jk, but really, he is gorgeous ! Congrats on having such a beauty!
  18. 75 gallon. I would love a bigger tank but none to be found around here. I keep looking on CL hoping some one moved here with a larger tank and now want to sale it. So far not anything bigger then my 75 and none of the pet shops sell anything bigger. I know how that search can go... I wish you luck! Just curious... but, have you ever tried to hand feed them? I imagine that could hurt!
  19. She's stunning! It's amazing how big goldies can get with the proper living conditions!
  20. I've been worrying about the same thing! I want to add my baby into the big tank now that he's a little bigger than the other's mouths but I wasn't sure myself.. Thank you for asking
