2 - 1 beautiful Fantail (Lizzy) and 1 Ryukin? (Jerry)
  1. I have my weekly water change over with, I fed them, and now i'm just sitting here doing nothing haha
  2. Alright, thanks for the info! I can't wait to see what Lizzy turns into
  3. Alright so my Red capped Fantail seems to be changing colors. But its only on her belly, i was wondering if there is something wrong or if its normal?
  4. Alright, I'll try that:) Actually i might get two Anubis, put one in the 29G and the other in the 5.5G and just see how they turn out, Lizzy hasnt been to bad about playing with the plastic plants, just gravel and sand, and it looks like she's having a blast doing it haha so im gonna trust her with a plant.
  5. hahahaha Lizzy has already managed to get a ball of sand it and break it over the gravel! I hope when i get actual plants they arent all destroyed by my little goldies. Does anyone know what kind of plants they wont want to destroy?
  6. I love the arc you made with the rocks! Did you buy your rocks or find them?
  7. http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh488/Austin_Dean/DSCF8031_zps82dfd3c3.jpg So I decided to use half sand and half gravel for my new 29G, I still need to get more rocks and i'm thinking about placing Anubis in my tank but i wouldnt know where to begin on how to do that. http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh488/Austin_Dean/DSCF8030_zpsdda92c65.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh488/Austin_Dean/DSCF8029_zps0f11b7b4.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh488/Austin_Dean/DSCF8028_zps60439275.jpg and here are the only shots i have of their old 5.5G http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh488/Austin_Dean/DSCF8027_zps7bdde6c5.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh488/Austin_Dean/144bc760.jpg
  8. Your tank looks great! Are those real plants or no haha?
  9. I actually just went out and bought one along with some more gravel and large rocks, hopefully i can get this all adjusted before its too late.
  10. Alright thank you for clarifying After that i should probably wait a few days or weeks to add Lizzy and Jerry to the tank right?
  11. What if the filtration system i have for the larger tank uses larger filters? and what do you mean by the media of the tank? like the decorations and plants? Sorry if these are stupid questions.
  12. I recently got a new tank and set it up today, I was told that i should do a fishless cycle with the added bioload from my old tank? How would i do this?
  13. The best way is to have a fishless cycle with borrowed media from your establised tank. If you are using the same filters then your cycle should stay in tank and you will be dealing with a cycle BUMP instead of starting from almost scratch. The other thing to consider is what conditions are your fish currently in, how long they've been in that and if they could handle being in that while you make sure the cycle is intact. Since the tank is new you won't need to clean it. Just make sure that the conditioned water is pH and temp matched when transferring your fish from one tank to another, that will help them reduce stress. Do you have enough filtration for your 29G or will you need to add or upgrade your filter(s)? Very glad you lucked out and got a bigger tank, I can't wait to see the wiggles from your little fishies in there Alright, I do have a filter for my new tank, its rated at 250Gph so that should be fine. With the fishless cycle, how long does that last? I know you put ammonia and stuff in it? My first fish was put in the 5 gallon a little over a month ago while the new fish was put in about a week ago. Lizzy(my first fish) got a bacterial infection in the first week but i bought some Melafix and that took care of it. After that there haven't been any problems with them. I put sand in this tank while the smaller one has gravel, will that be fine for goldfish? And thank you all for the quick responses
