  2. I would do a water change now, but its 25 past 11 at night, sooooooooo, yeah, I'll do it tomorrow, and the parameters? I'll do the things I know
  3. Unfortunately I can't find the name of my filter
  4. I do have a filter, it's a Fluval one, I'll find it out, and, usually about 25-30%, but occasionally change around 50%
  5. Also, it's just occurred to me that I haven't done a water change in 2 weeks, as I was really, really busy last weekend and forgot to do it, so 'll change the water on Sunday, I'm busy tomorrow, but will have a go at trying to fit it in tomorrow this could be the cause of my bad water
  6. Thank you 2 last comments, answer I was looking for, I shall be buying an API master test kit after Christmas so I'll report back and give my readings then
  7. Or stunted growth
  8. Because I understand that goldies don't live long in small tanks
  9. I know, but I just don't think that water can 'cut' a fish
  10. I would, but I don't have a tester at the minute, and anyway, why would water quality make a fish bleed?
  11. Hi Guys, So, a couple of months ago I bought a 19L Fluval Chi, And I put my 2 Danios in, and My 2 Minnows in it that I had from a previous tank, unfortunately, one of the danios died. and my mum has 1 of the minnows, sooooooo, when I bought the tank, I went and got a fantail, before any of you jump down my throat about the tank being too small, I know, but I wanted to have a goldfish for a few months, and recently, it stayed at the bottom of the tank, and it had little white spots all on its tail, and it was sluggish and didn't move much except for food, I've seen it move properly for the first time in a while earlier, and I found that on the top left part of it's tail it has a lot of blood, and in the top left part it has a little bit of blood coming from it, and on the bottom fin too. Please, someone help? Thanks, T
  12. I know it's fin nipping because I've seen it, also in my tank I have 2 danios, 2 minnows and a fantail
  13. Hey Guys, So I got a new tank about 3 weeks ago, its a Fluval Chi 19L, and I asked if my mum wanted my old tank, its just a cheap beginner one, thats about 11L, but my small fish were happy in it, so I asked if she wanted it, and she said yes, so, we went down to the local Pet shop, and bought 2 Fantails, I know the tank's too small, and I bought one too, again, I know small tank, but my mum's first one died, so we were a little bit sad, but happy that it was out of its misery, now, she got a white cloud mountain Minnow, and a Danio I think for free, the Minnow is a baby, but the Danio is quite big, so, the tail got to look really blotchy, and like skin had fallen off, and upon further inspection by me and mum, it turns out the Danio nips at the Fantails tail, the top bit of the tail, has split, and the tail has hardly any skin left on it, at first, I thought it might be ick, because it had white and red spots, but I think this is the cause of them, my question is, if I move it to my tank, will the skin grow back on the tail, and the red/white marks go? The fish in my tank are all happy with each other and none of them fin-nip, Any information on what I should do, whether it will survive, or if I need to put it out of it's misery will be taken into consideration and probably be taken as a course of action. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I know it was long, but I tryed to put as much detail as I could in. Many Thanks, T
