  1. It is absolutely fine to hold off on QT for a day That feeding schedule sounds good too. I would just leave the tank light off while you're gone.
  2. yes! and many of us including myself have had fish shipped to us! basically it is done over a period of 24-48 hours and the fish is fasted for 3 days prior to shipping. they are doubled bagged and placed in a styrofoam shipping container to maintain temperature. They are then placed in a corrugated box and sent on their way! I've never had a bad experience with fish being shipping to me. it can be very stressful on the fish, but my own have always done very well.
  3. Very nice! I'm sure they are loving all the extra space! I like the fact you have your filters running through to a different room. Makes it look sharp!
  4. Did you guys pay via paypal? Maybe you can get the charges disputed. I'm sorry this is happening to you guys
  5. I'm so sorry this happened, Chelsea. In your care I'm sure he will be better in no time
  6. Looking fantastic! The butterfly tank is amazing. It makes me wish I didn't take out all my substrate!

  8. Looking good! Your new rg oranda is sooo tiny and cute
  9. Have you considered a spawning mop so its easier to remove/clean out the eggs? Go clementine an elvis!
  10. they are gorgeous! Chances are your fantail will lose all the black and turn orange/white, but he will be such a stunner!
  11. looks like repens to me. yours is beautiful!
  12. oooooh I really like the black background! The colors stand out so nicely! Your fish are gorgeous as usual what is that giant orange ball? No i'm not talking about the fish
  13. I turn my lights on for 6-8 hours a day. Since I don't really have any plants right now, I get a lot of algae I just like the light on because I feel my fish are a lot more active and I like to be able to see them. My tank is 40 gallons and I have 2 fish. The general rule of thumb is 20 gallons for the first fish and 10 for each other fish, BUT from my personal experience, I've found 20 gallons per fish to be much more realistic. These guys get big and in my 40 gallon tank looks tiny. I usually feed my fish 1-4x a day in small amounts of pellets/gel food/blood worms
  14. ooooh they are beautiful! congrats!
  15. i'm not sure if doors would work as my stand is metal, but I'm sure the curtain would! my fish stuff is all over my room atm, haha
  16. looks great! i'd love to have storage under my tank, but my stand doesn't have doors so i feel like it looks kind of tacky. you've got me inspired to maybe put up a curtain with a nice pattern or something.
  17. they are beautiful! what big eyes! Congrats
