  1. If it is spawing time, how long would the headstanding behavior last?
  2. The fish is not "confirmed", but from what I can tell visually, I would guess that way. My other fish (which I would guess a male) has always been the dominat one and does chase her from time to time. He is staying very close to her while she is in her headstand. Her belly is always round (egg shaped) so I'm not sure I would notice if it was a little bigger. I'll check.
  3. Thank you for your response. Yes, I will get the video. The breathing is heavier than is normal but I wouldn't describe it as frantic at this point. No, I have not seen poo, which is why I started the fast. John
  4. Hello Miss Colonel, I could get a video later, after work. But it would be pretty boring. She is juse sitting still, head down, up against the base of a plant or the corner of the tank. If I gently move her out, she swims slowly across the bottom to the next plant or corner and doesthe same thing. John

No * List previous issues experienced (dropsy, SBD, etc.) No * List entire medication/treatment history for fish and tank. Please include salt, Prazi, PP, etc and the approximate time and duration of treatment. Added 10 teaspoons of salt two days ago * Any unusual findings on the fish such as "grains of salt," bloody streaks, frayed fins or fungus? No * Any unusual behavior like staying at the bottom, not eating, etc.? As of two days ago one fish is headstanding at the bottom of the tank. Actually it insist on burrowing its head at the base of a plant or in the corner. No other signs of problems. Eyes and scales are okay, no bumps or spots. Fish was fine before this without any problems. I have added 10 teaspoons of salt and have been fasting the fish. I am planning to try to get it to eat some peas tonight. Fish does seem stressed, steady gulping and gill movement. The only thing thing out of the ordinary was I asked a friend to feed the fish for one day while I was gone. I came back to this situation. I am assuming they overfed, but it seems like a drastic reaction to one overfeeding? This is a beautiful fish which has been very healthy up until now. I was just commenting to my wife last week as to how well the fish were doing. I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you, John
