  1. Hello again! I was wondering if it would harm my fish to feed him metro meds longer than the 2 week cycle, because he is thriving on them, so they obviously work, I just didn't know if they would become negative over the 2 week period
  2. We can't help you unless you give us more information. What is the model of the filter? How exactly did it stop working? Was there anything noticeably wrong with it before it stopped working? When was the last time you did routine maintenance on it?
  3. Thank you for your support =] He got so puffy so fast I was at a loss of what I could do, my MMs didnt arrive in time Even if they did, I ordered them the day he was starting to pinecone, I dont think there was a chance of me catching it early enough, but I tried My other one is doing very good, he is insanely active, so I am very glad at that I'm sorry your beautiful fish died, and I'm glad your remaining one is doing well. Sometimes in spite of our best efforts to care for the fish, they nevertheless succumb. My oranda was in a similar situation, I think. He had an ulcer that started to go down after I had quarantined him, and then he developed dropsy. He died two days after that. I'm so sorry about your oranda My brothers oranda died of nitrite poisoning because didn't know about the nitrogen cycle Thanks for your support

  5. Me too He was a beautiful fish, long flowing fins and his body was 85% bright orange, he looked stunning =[
  6. Thanks for the info! You have been an infinite help to me! +10000000 respect! =]
  7. I'm not sure what happened, he seemed fairly active and was eating, and then I left for an hour, came back, and he died 10 minutes after I found him Should I keep my tank at a salinity of .1 for my other guy, doesnt that strengthen their immune system?
  8. Thanks for your support I'm keeping my other one at .1% salinity and ill be feeding him MMs to keep him healthy
  9. He has died No need to continue posting here
  10. I'm rooting for you both! Glad to see you trying so hard and taking good care of your sick fish. Thanks! =] I will do everything I can for my fishies, they are like my kids, as I don't have any yet ;]
  11. Thanks so much for the support! You have made this so much easier on me, otherwise id probably be having a heart attack right now. For the first time in ever I managed to match the water temp 100% accurate, usually im 1 or 2 degrees off, I was happy about that! He is extremely pineconed now, behind his gill slit his scales are almost straight out sideways But I'm doing everything I can to help him.
  12. HOORAY! His belly was very very firm, he is just super bloated and almost completely pineconed. I hope my MM's come in soon, I'm not sure how long they take, but I'm shaking in my boots for them to come in! I have kept the water at perfect conditions and have added epsom with every water change, I hope my little guy gets better.
  13. Okay, I just felt his belly while I did a water change, it is quite firm, is this a good sign?
  14. They dont totally spaz out, but they do if I try to touch them. Is a squishy belly a bad thing? And also he is almost to the point of every scale on his body being pineconed.
