  1. such gorgeous pictures!! i wish i could take such clear pics but my tank was second hand and i think they used some kind of glue for the tank background they had and no matter what i sue i cant get the white film of the old glue to go away ive used window cleaner (before the tank was filled mind you) vinnagar, rubbing alchol, bleach water i even scrapped some off with a razor blade but its such a huge tank and i only scraped a little off at a time i gave up

  2. SOOOO the day before thanksgiving me and my bf went to check out a new pet store where i was VERY impressed with the fish it was a small place with only a few types of fish the guy had a tank of feeders who were ALL Healthy and i mean not a single one was swimming funny or had clamped fins or NOTHING all active and happy looking soooo i picked one out for Marchello she was only a quarter anyways and decent sized i named her betty minnow.

but then we had to take a stop at wally world and what did my little heart desire there? 2 beautiful fncy fishies i could NOT resist i mean i could not! i got a little chocolate/orange calico oranda who was sooo happy and followed my fingers every where! then in the black moor tank was a tele who is deff NOT a black moor and was soooo lovely i HAD to have it.

sooooooo my 80 gallon has not yet cycled (GULP) and all i had was a 20 gallon QT so to help things along i took some water and media from a 20 gallon tank i have for my nephew with a moonlight gourami in it(its been set up for the past 5 years with only the gourami in it) plus im doing daily water tests so far i have only had 2 bad readings and 95 percent water changes did the trick!

i know i should QT new fish but the way i figure it all of them are new in a new tank

okok youve waited long enough here are a few of the more decent pics i was able to get of them!

this is the little oranda and betty minnow both are still a bit nervous being in such a huge new tank and the first few days stayed mroe toward the back

    six.jpg

little marchello whom i also said eh why not and added him to the 80 gallon as well at elast untill i get the green water tub up and running then him and betty will be the first to try it out.

  3. does he really NEEd a lid? i had a 20 gallon long without a lid no problems most of my guppy tanks didnt have lids and it was fine you just end up haveng to top the tank off more often.

(P.S having speaker problems so i could not hear the audio to the video)

  4. well i have to fess up i went to a NEW LPS and was quite pleasently suprised! though it was a very very small place with only a few very common types of pets they had a few fish tanks like 2 salt water and 10 freshwater well all the tanks were slightly cloudy BUT in every single one of those tanks ALL those fish were very active and healthy no torn fins,no bottom sitting fish,no ich or missing scales not even in the feeder goldfish tank!!!! it was about 30 gallons with close to 25 feeders and ALL of them were active swimming around no clamped fins NOTHING! i asked how long ago the feeder shipment came in he said his last batch (the fish in the tank) had been there for 3 WEEKS!! i find that impressive...sooooooo

i MAY have picked up....a cute bronze colored goldy and i MAY have...named her....betty minnow....

and thats not even the worst part we took a stop at wally world so i could pick up my water conditioner and some salt(yes more ;) )

and i MAY have fallen in love with a gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous telescope labled a black moor(but is clearly NOT) and a cute little oranda

i know i know! i feel so horrable but i COULDNT pass up those two!!especielly the tele! it is GORGEOUS so since ive only got a 20 gal QT tank and ive already basically had to start my 80 gal from scratch im going to cycle the tank with the 2 facies and betty minnow while marchello will stay in the 20 gallon till i get the green water tub set up.

dont worry im testing the water every single day to keep a super close eye on the levels plus i seeded the filters with my nephews goruamis 20 gallon (which has been running 5 years now) media and water.

BUT i am SO done with fishies in the 80 gallon actually betty minnow will also be transfered over to the green water tub once its running.
