I am sorry for your loss most sellers have that guarantee unfortunately. I've gotten fish from Ken when the temps were in the high 90s. When you have a seller that really knows how to ship, then temps don't play as big of a role.

I wouldn't prazi them at all. Prazi isn't as affective in tropical fish. Just bring it up to a tropical fish keeper. They laugh. When my new round of Angelfish had flukes I asked an angelfish forum for help. They suggested formilin and a refund. Just go with super clean water. I had such great success with otos and clean water. I had seven for two years when the stress of the move was too much

I know you said you are working on getting the test kits but can you please fill out the following form. Test Results for the Following: * Ammonia Level(Tank) * Nitrite Level(Tank) * Nitrate level(Tank) * Ammonia Level(Tap) * Nitrite Level(Tap) * Nitrate level(Tap) * Ph Level, Tank (If possible, KH, GH and chloramines) * Ph Level, Tap (If possible, KH, GH and chloramines) Other Required Info: * Brand of test-kit used and whether strips or drops? * Water temperature? * Tank size (how many gals.) and how long has it been running? * What is the name and "size of the filter"(s)? * How often do you change the water and how much? * How many days ago was the last water change and how much did you change? * How many fish in the tank and their size? * What kind of water additives or conditioners? * What do you feed your fish and how often? * Any new fish added to the tank? * Any medications added to the tank? * List entire medication/treatment history for fish and tank. Please include salt, Prazi, PP, etc and the approximate time and duration of treatment. * Any unusual findings on the fish such as "grains of salt," bloody streaks, frayed fins or fungus? * Any unusual behavior like staying at the bottom, not eating, etc.? Also, are you adding the salt for treatment? It actually worsens toxicity of the ammonia present so I would discontinue using it.

Your BB will be fine. I have several times done a water change with either much colder or warmer water and no cycle problems.

I ended up not painting the tank but just saving my money and leaving it the way it was. I haven't weighed the fry in a while but I can give it a try when I do their next water change. Here is the 180.

They are so beautiful! And really make me miss the Professor.

I am stealing all of your ranchus They are beautiful. Where did you get the new scale? I have some big guys and I doubt my little scale will work for them.

my fry tank is looking nasty as hell

This is what I did as well. Except I moved my fry with either a tablespoon or cup. -
Eugene's dropsy has really progressed :( help!
ashlee18 replied to Fish_Fanatic's topic in Disease Diagnosis/ Treatments
I hope I don't sound rude in saying this. But with a dropsy fish you really cannot let the water changes go to every two weeks. And if you absolutely must let it go for two weeks, do a 90% water change and not just a 50%. -
Wow! Great work with them . Have you weighed them at all?

He is a cutie! A heater will be fine. Does it have suction cups? Just suction cup the heater to the bottom.

That was exactly what they were. My friend had a few pond raised fry around two months old. They were fancies. Ranchus to be precise if that would change anything. I kept them for the winter and then just kept them lol until the move. They have grown more in the 2 months he has had them back than the 10 I had them.

Welcome! You got lots of great advicr so I just went to look at your boxer pics...I have two of them slowly pushing me out of bed right now lol

I personally wouldn't add them to that tank. I water pressure from a tank that big kinda slows down their growth. I tried it with some fry in my 180 and they didn't grow at all for a year. I thought they were stunted until I gave them to a friend.
