  6. I'm kinda interested in seeing her tank...anyone has a pic or link to it?
  7. It could be your pleco...since mine killed all of mine a long time ago >.>, not sure wat kind of pleco it was but I'm pretty sure any pleco would do it given the correct factors i.e. food. Do u feed your pleco by any chance?
  8. I was gonna say lionchu base on the back and tail...However after looking at the wen I think it's just a ranchu with a straight back p.s sry for double posting and also bubble eyes are awesome
  9. if u don't like it the missing dorsal fin then this is for u although it's more of a hybrid I think...that or mutation lol

  12. do people actually do that...?! I only see that happening at the fish store where u buy fish to...eat lol
  13. I read one thread where the concept of freezing came up and I thought it was quite interesting since I never heard of it before. So wat I wanted to ask was...did anyone put down their goldfish in this way? wats the logic in putting them down this way? (its less painfull because...? they release something in their brain?) is there other ways of putting down your fish besides freezing?
  14. I only have a week to decide which ones I am getting...but that might all change when I actually go to the farm and see the other ranchu/goldies that they have . so here goes: A) http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc315/clone702008/DSC04227-1.jpg B) http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc315/clone702008/DSC04271.jpg C) http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc315/clone702008/DSC04279.jpg http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc315/clone702008/DSC04278.jpg D) http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc315/clone702008/DSC04286.jpg http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc315/clone702008/DSC04283.jpg So please help me out lol and if anyone could sex them that would be great too...although they might be to small I'm not sure...
  15. It depends on the driftwood you find. Could you post some shots? Avoid ones with sharp edges obviously. If I were you, I'd rather stick to glass vases and porcelain bowls with soft plants in there, glass stones and marbles as decorations for a bubble-eye setup. Bubble eyes are so delicate that the eye sacs can likely puncture if stabbed by a rather abrasive decor. sadly that has already happen once a couple months ago...luckily for me it grew back and looks better then ever (at least I think so) I'll try to post some shots of the driftwood if I go there again
  16. it depends on your personal preference, if you really want good goldfish then I say tung hoi or someone who sells tung hoi goldfish (but be careful who you buy from because they might be culls, fakes, etc.) but if your fine with nice okay goldfish then any place is fine...just make sure they look healthy and happy
  17. shucks... a koi x fancy would have been interesting though...although if someone really wanted too, they could make it happen with hand spawning
  18. http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc315/clone702008/untitled.jpg <--courtesy of slbad so I could buy these lol...they only cost 36 dollars...I really need to find a shipper in china that is willing to ship live goldfish instead of frieght >.>
  19. Is driftwood bubble eye friendly? Saw some at the fs and wanted to get it
  20. now that is something I would like to see lol...unless u meant the unfancy kind
  21. a nice big ranchu...that's either black or calico with nice wen growth!
  22. Well since you live in the same area as me, the best place to buy big goldfish or goldfish in general in our area is at broadview and gerrard. Once you get there you just have to walk east from scotia bank a little bit and your there. (it's like one big store that consists of three stores: the hair salon to your right, the vietnamese restaurant to your left, and the gold fish store at the center downstairs.) They have quite the selection there ranging in price from 30-75 dollars. Personally I bought a black moor, ryukin, and oranda there for 40,35, and 75 dollars respectively. I'll try to post pictures of them when I can
