  1. That was my first thought too. I'm not even going to try going there but I'll give you the information to Customer Support at API Pharmaceuticals. I believe they'll be able to answer your questions. They're available from 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM EST and the toll free phone number is available within the link provided. Hope this helps! 2. Gotcha Alex....I'm hoping this will take care of the problem. I like using the filter floss but I sometimes get into the mindset of packing it full to assist with filtration and it ends up clouding the water. Anymore I've cut back on the amount of floss and I haven't seen any more issues.
  3. Hey Alex....I've had some minor issues with clouding in my 29 gal running an AC 110. A 70% WC always has taken care of a bacterial bloom for me along with a good gravel vac. I just experienced one last week and with the 70% WC it was gone in a flash. I also want to mention that I use filter floss in my AC's. If I pack too much inside the filter it will decrease the efficiency of the filter which will also cause the water to cloud. This only happens in my 29 so I have to be careful not to overload it with too much floss. I quit using carbon in my filters over a year ago but it may not hurt to do a trial run for a month to see if this may clear it up for you. Hope that you get it squared away.
  4. Agreed with Hidr! I've seen too many stories of Cory's barbells being caught in a goldfish's mouth which led to the death of the goldfish. Best advice is keep your goldfish with goldfish.
  5. Hey Alex....I usually shop through Amazon and snag the best prices. However before I go to Amazon I use Google Shopping which will pull up the best prices around online. By using Google Shopping it will list the prices low to high. All you have to do is type in what you're looking for and the rest is up to you. It's incredible what kind of deals you can find.
  6. I've done some online shopping lately. Scored some airline suction cups, Omega One Pellets and Tropical Food, API High Range kit, and 4 kilos of pH Buffer.
  7. They all look great, K! Floaty is a very nice calico! Telescopes, eh?
  8. Way to go Lori! He looks great! Go Alfonso!
  9. I missed your white telescope! Looks like a little butterfly to me! Very nice! By chance is that Igor?
  10. Congrats on your new Panda, K! Nice job!
  11. He looks great in his new outfit! Another awesome color change! Goldfish are like a box of chocolates....you never know what you're gonna get.

  13. Fire engine red! Awesome Betta for the stakster! Way to go Helen!
  14. They all look great, Shell! Black Moors, eh? I'm just sayin.....
  15. I've been a long time user of aquarium gravel. However I've recently spoken with a few people whom I consider "experts" in the fancy and they've recommended that I remove the gravel from GF tanks considering that I keep only Telescopes. I'm in the process of gradually removing the gravel from all three of my GF tanks and should be bare bottom within two months. It's going to take some time getting used to the new look but after quite a bit of discussion I don't believe there's any alternative to help keep my Telescopes healthy by eliminating any possibility of detrimental bacteria. Again, it's going to take some time getting used to it but in my opinion I think it's your best option to go bare bottom in your tanks.
  16. Ridiculous claim. *looks over at the water stains on the paneling behind the tank* LOL Fang.....stains on the wall. Reason I was stating this was I've read reports of AC filters overflowing and if no one is around to shut the filter down they just keep pumping water out over the top. I can just imagine what would happen with me being away especially when I live in a second floor apartment. Hoo boy!
  17. Agreed with Koko! I've swapped media from my tropical tank once without a problem. As Koko mentions any type of recent disease activity would be an immediate red flag not to proceed with a media swap.
  18. Same here.....I use extensions on all of mine. I'm a staunch supporter of Hagen AquaClear filters. Aqueon filters work well but don't even come close to an AquaClear. Try getting an extension or two to bring the filter stem closer to the bottom of your tank and I think you'll see a big difference!
  19. In my personal experience between the two I'd go for Petsmart hands down over Petco.
  20. Fang, I don't know what the actual cause of this is. I've found a few scarce articles in the past concerning this problem and from what the general opinion was is that this is an uncommon genetic issue. I'm responding to this as Jet, one of my older Black Moors, had the same problem where one telescope eye shrunk to a common type of eye where the other stayed telescopic. The fish itself was healthy in every other way except for the eye problem. I wish I could offer more on a probable cause.
