  1. thank u. and i had a feeling they needed a heap of room.and im also guessing they are not going to get a big tank.which is pretty sad,i also no they dont no that much about them by the way they were talking.and im hoping they will get a boy and girl, i have told them bout this site,so hopefully they will at least have a look and take the advice that i will pass on. thanks to you all

  2. We went to go pick up some aquarium sealant today, and of course, I had to look at the goldies. Hubby said, "ya know, we're not buying anymore fish from a store again". I said "Yeah, I agree. But that doesn't stop me from looking at them". This was a big chain of course. I might consider buying from one of my LFS's, becuz he is very knowledgable and takes great care of his tanks. It's sad, but you cannot rescue every single one of them. It's too bad there's not a procedure to keep people's fish from reproducing, the way we control our other pets' populations. Don't know if that would help, but might put a dent in the numbers that pet department stores get a hold of.

i think there should be a fish pill or some thing :rofl yep give them a pill a day.

  3. the reason you can not get progold is because you can only get it from goldfish connection and has to be ordered from Rick (owner of goldfish connection) there are other places in the US such as koiart where progold is sold but that is basically why us aussies can not get it. US only food.

where as mazuri is like hikari etc it is an actual pet brand so i have been told it is no prob to get it in for me they are trying to get one at first and if i like it then they will try to market it :)

i thought it was wierd that it wase nt sold here, thanks for that

  4. yes the mazuri gel food is excellent i usually make my own but lately i have been trying to get some imported into australia alot harder than it sounds lol. i have decided to get my dads friend who is an owner of an lfs to order some from the states for me when the next lot of food comes in as they get tetra and hagen and hikari, from the US.

that would be good, but do you think they can import that stuff,i tried to get progold but no good cant get it sent here, and no fish shop will order it in, they tell ya they dont deal in it they actually say no we dont import chinese products in, i said its not chinese, but hey y should they care what i want. im flat out trying to get hikari, cant find it any where which i think is just stupid.now that ive said that i do have one more lfs to go and have a look in,which i will do on the weekend and see if i can get at least hikari.

  5. oh the poor thing. sounds like it happen a lot, have you got a fish vet any where near where u live i did have a look on the thread finding a vet on line but i dont think any are where you live,i dont no. just a suggesting.if nothing works throw him in the freezer and get another one.....na just kidding ya

  6. gee fish are like humans hey with all that can go wrong with them. i never heard of bladder trouble til this site. here in australia we have ural but thats for humans and its real good fixes more or less straight away but i dont think u can put that in the tank because it fizzes up lol. what the heck am i saying of course you cant give it to fish.lol.just trying to amuse you. :goodluck

  7. ask ya mum to take you to the shops and see what you come up with, here in australia we have shops like i guess wallys world, but ours are called crazy clarks and silly sollies, some plp call them the two bob shop.(dont no y we dont have bobs lol).im sure where you are in derbyshire there is some cheap shops that stock them. now be good to ya mum then ask her to take you shopping :)

i dont think you should buy them from the net because then you have to pay for postage and the money you spent on postage you could put to a bigger one. does that make sence :)
