I am a bipedal primate belonging to the mammalian species Homo sapiens in the family Hominidae. I have a highly developed brain capable of abstract reasoning, language, and introspection. This mental capability, combined with an erect body carriage that frees my upper limbs for manipulating objects, has allowed me to make far greater use of tools than any other species. My family originated in Africa about 200,000 years ago, but now they inhabit every continent, with a total population of over 6.5 billion. Like most primates, I am social by nature; however, I am particularly adept at utilizing systems of communication for self-expression, the exchange of ideas, and organization.
