Metro-Med and Medi Gold

Mikey

I was wondering what these Medicated foods do. I have Metro-Meds and it says internal parasites, dropsey, and bacterial or something (It's not in front of me right now) and what does Medi Gold do? It doesn't say on goldfishconnection.com; it just says medicated food.

Both are very potent medicated foods, with Medi-Gold containing a combo of antibiotics that could be considered stronger in some circumstances, while Metro-Meds can target flagellated protozoans, as well as anaerobes.

I've mentioned this before, and I will say it here again. It's extremely unwise to start a medication course on your fish before getting second or even third opinions.

While these medications are very effective and generally safe, improper use could leave your fish with internal organ damages, or it could cause your fish to become floaty.

Meds are no joke.

He has the mucus and bulges on his side. Either way, when he came in he came from a crappy distributor so I know he has something internal with the bulges.
