
As I posted the other day, a connector on my python broke, and short of having to buy a whole new one, or pay some sort of premium price if I could even find the piece, I hit Home Depot to look at connectors.
First of all, here is the piece that broke for me shown by the arrow:
And the piece when removed looks like this:
What snapped is the nut at the bottom of the second picture that attaches the connector to the longest section of hose. So what I replaced that whole piece with was a garden hose adapter; it's a 1/2 In. Female Aluminum Pro Mend W/clmp found here http://www.homedepot...-w-clmp/972703:
It cost $4.29 (Cdn) and fits perfectly; the python works as it should, and there are no leaks or issues when using the little shut off valve on the hose.
Hope this helps anyone else who may have to do their own repair!
