To frog, or not to frog? That is the question!

So all my life I've been obsessed with amphibians. I currently have a 21 year old African clawed frog (I got him way back when my obsession started) and 3 awesome newts who I've had for about 7 or 8 years now.

I wasn't really thinking about expanding the collection, but today I went to an lfs and they had a really nice variety of frogs! In particular, a dumpy (SUPER cute) and a pixie (sort of scary). I had a Cuban tree frog years ago and really enjoyed it, I'm wondering if it's time I got another?

I'm just wondering where I'd house it. My 15 gallon currently has my lone hermit crab, who could be moved. It has heat pads installed, so that's probably the way to go. But it is a wide tank, not very tall and for arboreal species that wouldn't be very good.

I guess it's time to do a little research.

I've always liked tomato and malayan leaf frogs. Awhile ago, someone on kingsnake was selling mozambique rain frogs which were cool because they always have angry faces on!

I'm actually considering getting a frog that looks like your albino one ;) he's at my local mom & pop store and if he's still there tomorrow he may be coming home with me ;) so I say go for it!!!!

My albino one? I don't have an albino :)

And yes I think the answer is 'to frog', I just have to figure out where said frog will go!

It won't be until I get back from sea in June, but that gives me lots of time to prepare a nice vivarium!

I am pretty sure that once you've gotten to the point where you want to ask that question, the answer is always "to frog."
