I have to have better luck this time. Not taking it down again. Should be able to keep a better eye on it since I am at home this time.
This is early afternoon light only no flash tad bit over cast though. From yesterday.
This is this morning after I got all the fish in. I found all four of my ottos. What a nice surprise.
This evening Ill get some better pictures to share on the forum.
Going to remove all the blue rocks and clean the sides of algae. Then add the dirt and some of the gravel. I have till this weekend to work on this part. When the tank gets moved the 30 well have to come down that same day. So plan to get as far as I can before then.
So today hubby took the goldfish with him to that mom and pop shop. He wants the 55 gallon moved to where they 30 gallon and everything in the 30 moved to the 55. It is a tad over stocked and he thinks the angelfish are really to big for the 30 gallon.
That well still work I only do water changes on the planted once a month. And being in that window the plants should do better this time. Plus Ill be here to keep an eye on things I wasn't last time I tried this and it did not go to well. I t
I need to shut down the 55. The only thing that is stopping me is deciding who to keep. I am leaning to keeping the goldfish cause the oscars are really over stocked and more work. But on the other hand they never get sick and I have the least issues with them and for me they live so much longer.
These two big tanks are just to much for me now that I am cooking and cleaning house and going to have a new part time job and eventually two part time jobs. (When my boss goes back to work.)
Really want a new fish. But really don't have room for one. 55 gallon with 3 BN's and 3 goldfish.
So yesterday after I finished my kitchen I started removing gravel so I can put in my blue rocks. How do you all get out those last few pesky pieces of gravel? I want it ALL gone before I add my blue stuff in.
LOL and fish well be in the right tanks. And Ill have a huge kitchen. Well compared to what I have now. lol Going tomorrow to start cleaning up and getting ready. Hope to set up the 30 gallon and move the angels in the next couple days.
So while I was at the vet I talked to the receptionist there that has the 100 gallon tank. She has room for my angelfish Spot who was the odd fish out. So now he has a new home and the only angelfish in the tank of tropical fish. That l leaves me with my two that have paired off. So now they well go in the 30 gallon when I get moved and the goldfish can stay in the 55. WOOT
I so forgot about the calendar. With Ryder being so sick and stuff I just forgot. I'll get it done today or tonight.
But Willow the new oscar left me no choice. He is still a tiny thing but already terrorizing the whole tank. Well just the angels.
The angels are a mess. Spot the one the other two angels are always chaising, tail is in shreds and I can't stand it. So moved them into the goldfish tank. I know overstocked and not good but just for a few weeks and I am sure your sick of hearing it and I know I am sick of saying it but Ill get it all worked out when I get in my new house. /sigh Hopefully the fi
Got four otos to try again. Maybe with some solient green Ill have more luck keeping them alive?
Also got some root tabs for the 10 gallon. I moved the big rock out and moved the tiger lily into the 10 gallon. It has holes in it and was losing leaves. Goldfish did not cause this damage I believe it is lack of iron. So added the root tabs. Hope it perks up. Noticing more algae then normal so got the ottos to help take care of that I hope. Ill do a picture today and then later to see if you a
Will wait till the move to do this. But my plan is to put the 30 gallon tank back up in the kitchen/dinning area. This well make it easy to do extra water changes on it. I well be moving my three goldfish and the 400 gph HOB filter to that tank. Just don't want to put the three angels in there with two of them sparing so much.
Going to move the angels into the 55 gallon with the plants and remaining guppies from the 10 gallon and the BN's. This tank well go into my bed room. This tank now h
Well I think so anyways. Foster is worrying me being in the goldfish tank with the tiny baby BN's. Only have four but would like to keep them. So he has been moved into the 75 gallon with Karma. I know not the best idea but just till the babies are to big to eat.
Karma is not bothering him. Temps are the same in both tanks right now and not even running heaters so that should not be a problem either. He well just not get goldfish food for a while. Flakes and Karma food.
Moving remaining fish and plants to a 10 gallon set up. Moving my gecko onto the 30 gallon stand. Putting the 30 gallon in storage till we move.
Done. Turns out I had 8 baby guppies. They are safe and sound in the 10 gallon with the one cory. I broke the dang top on the 30 so well be a long long time before I have it back up. Ill get some pictures of the 10 gallon.
I can't fine a thing wrong. Don't see any signs of illness. I lost the remaining female guppy and looks like some of the babies. I still have one cory cat left. The cories must of had something invisible wrong with them. Still not treating the tank just waiting to see what happens since I have no clue what is wrong with them.
I set up the 5 gallon yesterday. Seeded it and hope it is ready in a couple weeks so I can restock the 30 gallon. Getting more cory and guppies.
Yes I know I am nuts. But someone tried to steel my car. Five more seconds and it would of been gone. Think the dogs scared them off. Crime is getting really bad here in the last couple years.
Need to get my car door fixed now cause it can't be locked. Grrrrrr
This all well happen by this time next year.
Going to screen in my patio. Make it into a bird room. Also can be used for the dogs when it is to cold for them to stay outside. In the winter Ill put out a small heating and cover it with plastic to keep them warm enough. May also put a tub type container for my goldfish to live out there.
Going to sell the 55. (or maybe just put it in the bird room.) Going to re home all that is in the 75 and turn it into a Fish Only salt water tank. This wont
I am ready to move Grace. lol She just paces like she is in a prison cell. Well 10 gallons is small. She is eating well and seems fine other then the what appears to me to be agitated swimming. hehe
My 30 gallon looks terrible. The pennywart is not taking off like I had hoped it would. The vals are doing ok and well look better now that the angels are not in there chopping on them. The hydo was not doing well at all. So moved it to the 6 gallon with the other one I planted over there hope
This post is more for me so I know where I am starting over from. The amazon sword is gone. The stem plants are floating they are doing really bad loosing leaves looking really bad. So floating them see if they recover some. If not Ill need to try a different plant for the middle back area.
I have a java fern I attached to the wood on the right. I have two water lily bulbs but they are still floating at this time. I also added some crypts that well get about 6 inches tall on the left. In th
