I am leaving the 55 bare. Debating on a back ground. I am however thinking of adding some plants to the other filter.
Planted tank. Not done going to work on the rest of the substrate and planting the plants today.
Buttons 2.2 oz
Bows 1 oz
Sparkles 1.2 oz
Ru .9 oz
Winnie .7 oz
Kenya .7 oz
Luna 1.4 oz
Since I cant see them growing maybe when I weight them in about 6 months I well see weight gain.
Googles the pond fish.
.8 oz Hoping to see a lot of growth on him.
Did a water change on the tanks while at home today. I also fixed the web cam so the goldfish are easier to see. I can even see the spots on Cam.
I forgot my camera again so once again no pictures. Hubby wants be to order a cable extension so I can put the web cam on the oscar tank sometimes. I went to price them and I can save 12 bucks ordering it online. So maybe it well be here next week.
55 is recovering nicely from the algae. I have all lights on a timer and I changed the afternoon lights out to an extra hour. Did some trimming to remove algae and added some more water spirit.
Got my five gallon set up to QT a tiny fantail goldfish. Have not seen one I like yet. Really want a white one but well see.
Going to do water changes on all tanks today.
My blue oranda is in the pond with Fish and Pond. Moving him back into house late fall. Have three fish in the 125 Speckles, Bows and Luna. Bought two new calico fantails yesterday. Been calling them Sugar and Spice. I think that may stick. They are in my 17 gallon tank. Will move them to big tank in a few days. That tank is up for sale. Just have plants and snails in it. That well have me down to four tanks. Split 10 gallon with bettas, 150 oscar tank, 125 goldfish tank and my 29 gallon
I can't fine a thing wrong. Don't see any signs of illness. I lost the remaining female guppy and looks like some of the babies. I still have one cory cat left. The cories must of had something invisible wrong with them. Still not treating the tank just waiting to see what happens since I have no clue what is wrong with them.
I set up the 5 gallon yesterday. Seeded it and hope it is ready in a couple weeks so I can restock the 30 gallon. Getting more cory and guppies.
Got four otos to try again. Maybe with some solient green Ill have more luck keeping them alive?
Also got some root tabs for the 10 gallon. I moved the big rock out and moved the tiger lily into the 10 gallon. It has holes in it and was losing leaves. Goldfish did not cause this damage I believe it is lack of iron. So added the root tabs. Hope it perks up. Noticing more algae then normal so got the ottos to help take care of that I hope. Ill do a picture today and then later to see if you a
Ok so Bows and Ru are males. And they are chasing Luna so thats why her tail is split. So she is in the pond with the tadpols before they make her crazy. That means I now have four males out of 8. Guess she stays in the pond till they are feeling less male. lol
So Luke my blue oranda has a white spot on his head the size of a pea. I moved him to the outside pond and it goes away. I move him back inside and in a few days it is back. The only difference between inside and outside is the temp of the water. He well have to come in for the winter wonder if I should QT him in the 16 gallon planted tank and find a way to treat what ever it is on his head. Looks like a fungus but never gets bigger. Time for some research.
Now I am having some issues in the 75 gallon. The 150 and 75 were the ones that got large water changes Friday. Problem with 150 started the next day. Now there is a problem in the 75 gallon. So thinking the water was contaminated with something when I did water change Friday. Something that I can't test for with my test kit.
150 is fine now. Well keep testing. I am doing a 90 percent water change on the 75 now and believe it well be fine when that is done but well keep checking.
I also have m
No water changes for two days. WOOT. lol The parrot fish are now happy and in my 60 gallon. Need to get a couple large clay pots to make them completely happy.
Luna the oranda is doing well in the frog pond. Wonder how much she well grow before fall when I move her inside....
Googles aka Blinky has me a bit worried. S/he might be blind. Gets some food but not near as much as the others.
I had not intentions of changing Blinky's name but for some reason I keep saying Googles. So guess I did ch
Well I think so anyways. Foster is worrying me being in the goldfish tank with the tiny baby BN's. Only have four but would like to keep them. So he has been moved into the 75 gallon with Karma. I know not the best idea but just till the babies are to big to eat.
Karma is not bothering him. Temps are the same in both tanks right now and not even running heaters so that should not be a problem either. He well just not get goldfish food for a while. Flakes and Karma food.
Now that my goldfish are bigger the large pea gravel is no longer safe for them. So removed it from the tank yesterday. Now need to see about some smaller gravel. However it may have to wait.
I really dislike the bare bottom but the river rocks help.
The older plants in the tank are doing awful. To much die off. They well go in the pond this spring after a major trim and I hope they well recover. Then I well have to bring them inside for about four months next winter.. But hopefully the
My Dad has given me my grandmothers china and china cabinet. I need the spot so the 35 is in for it to go. No where else to really put it.
I am going to move more then should over to a 10 gallon in my bed room with most the plants. Moving some plants to the goldfish tank.. The rest go to the local mom and pop pet shop.
I never really look at it where it is. I just take care of it and take pictures.
The 30 gallon tank is looking so much better. New growth. Less algea just looks so much better now. Going home this evening and get to stay for 24 hours. So water changes for home tanks and I get to sit in front of them staring. lol
Going to see if I can set my cam up on the oscar tank. Not sure that well turn out cause Ill have to Zoom in a lot. Guess Ill see.
Pictures on the forum later today of the 30 gallon.
Not able to get the 75 gallon tank stand stained today. Had to order the ebony stain. It should get here Tuesday so should get started next weekend. I have ordered some driftwood. And the filter for the 150 is on order.
I am thinking of maybe a couple apple snails instead of another goldfish. Think I would rather have 20 gallon per goldfish. Five for the rubber lip and five for each snail.
I picked up a new betta today. Set if up in a 1 gallon bowl by my computer. Need to see about some p
Buttons is almost healed up. Just a tad pink on his tail.
Luna is still doing well in the pond. Might move Googles in there too so s/he can grow and compete better with the other goldfish and so Luna will have company.
I am so relieved they are all doing so much better.
Going to remove all the blue rocks and clean the sides of algae. Then add the dirt and some of the gravel. I have till this weekend to work on this part. When the tank gets moved the 30 well have to come down that same day. So plan to get as far as I can before then.
We needed the space. The central air has quit for good this time. So got a second window unit. Had to move the 125 but it can't stay where it is so sold the 150 and well move the 125 to that spot soon. Might wait till after Christmas so we can put up a big tree one last time. Fish in 150 got moved to other tanks or one of the big outdoor ponds.
